    Frank J. Coutts

    Director of Golf

    Frank became Head Professional at Deeside Golf Club in 1989 after a successful five years as Professional at Murcar (now Murcar Links) Golf Club. In 2004 Frank became Director of Golf looking after Deeside’s full spectrum of golfing activities and has just celebrated his 25th year at Deeside Golf Club.

    It was prior to this that Frank represented his country at Junior, Youth & Full Level and GB at Boys and Youths, culminating in a Walker Cup reserve spot in 1981. Frank has a long history at Deeside, joining in 1970, having won the Junior Club Championship three times between 1975 & 1977. Frank was a regular on the Scottish circuit after turning Professional in 1983, narrowly missing his European Tour Card, winning several Pro Ams and finished second in the Northern Open two times

    Frank has hung up his competing boots but loves going away with members and experiencing top courses around the country and beyond. Frank has an extensive teaching list and coaches a number of top golfers in the North East of Scotland. Frank is also the only Premium Service agent for PowaKaddy in the North East of Scotland and also services and repairs GolfStream & MotoCaddy Trolleys.

    Assistant PGA Professional

    Graeme joined Deeside Golf Club in February 2009 after completing his BA Hons Degree in Sport Studies & Psychology from Stirling University. Graeme became a fully qualified PGA Professional in 2012 when he completed the PGA Foundation Degree through Birmingham University at the Belfry. Graeme started playing golf at the very young age of 3 years old and achieved a lot of success throughout his many years as a Junior. It was in his last year as a Junior that Graeme attended the International Junior Golf Academy (now Hank Haney Academy) at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA.

    You can find Graeme competing in the odd Tartan Tour event around Scotland however Graeme’s focus is on coaching and aims to install the knowledge, confidence and feel to allow his pupils to leave a session with technical and mental ideas which will help achieve an improvement in their golf. Whether it is putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play or full game, Graeme has an extensive coaching list and looks forward to seeing you at Deeside with an aim to help you improve your game!

    Sheila Coutts

    Shop Manager

    Sheila has been associated with Deeside Golf Club all her life. Her Grandfather Paddy Philips who was a great ambassador for the club meant she was a frequent visitor. In 1990 her marriage to Frank paved her role as Shop Manager where she can be found behind the counter with a welcoming smile and always keen to serve the members.

    In her years here she has built a fantastic reputation for stocking quality ladies and gents clothing.
