Club Dress Code

Where people matter and traditions count

It is in all our interests to maintain reasonable standards of dress in keeping with national golf traditions. Golfers at Deeside are therefore made aware that the following are required standards that must be adhered to both on the golf course and in the clubhouse.


Any type or colour of denim jeans, paramilitary style camouflage trousers, tracksuits, leggings and shell suits, collarless t-shirts, rugby and football shirts are not permitted on the courses at any time.

Shirts should be tucked into trousers or shorts unless specifically designed as over shirt.

In the summer months bermuda length tailored shorts, knee length or short white socks may be worn by male members and guests. Ladies may wear ankle length socks.


Baseball caps or hats of any other description must not be worn the wrong way round and must be removed before entering the clubhouse.


Golf shoes must be worn on the course and are not acceptable in the lounge and restaurant areas of the clubhouse.

Trainers are acceptable in the clubhouse by junior members only.

Changing Facilities

The clubhouse has every facility required for changing into and from golfing apparel. Changing in the car park is not permitted.

Mobile Phones

Please note mobile phones may not be used on the course or in the clubhouse. Please ensure your phone is switched off at all times.


Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the clubhouse.

The above standards apply to both members and visitors alike and disregard for these very reasonable standards can lead to the person or persons concerned being asked to leave the course, or the clubhouse by the club manager, or any senior member of staff.

Members and guests are expected to be tastefully dressed and tidy at all times and fully aware of the dress code policy.
